Teacher Appreciation Week, and I actually do feel appreciated after these notes. God knew I needed these this week.

The jacarandas are kindling and flaring up.

Scrivener said...: It's so important to feel appreciated. I'm glad you got some of that at this time of year. I got an email from a former student a couple of days ago letting me know that he's been arguing with a friend of his about a topic that we discussed in my classes. He was kind enough to thank me for preparing him for his other courses in college, and he even asked me to recommend books for him to read over the summer! What Now? said...: Oh, I love jacarandas! There used to be a beautiful tree across the street from my dining room window, and I'd sit and look out at it and revel in springtime. It's a beautiful spring here in Adventure City, but nothing rivals SoCal.; May 10, 2008 at 11:43 AM
