He's Home

Christian, the 14-year-old young man we've been praying for, has gone home to be with his God. The details from their CaringBridge site:

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 29, 2007 11:09 PM, CST
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. There is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day." 2 Timothy 4:7-8
His master replied, "Well done, good and faithful servant!..." Matthew 25:21
Christian earned his angel wings at 10:42 PM tonight in the arms of his family. We are beyond proud of the fight he gave, the courage he showed, and the faith he maintained. Our hearts are absolutely broken, but know he is pain-free in paradise.

Now starts the hard work. Your prayers for this family who has lost a vital and precious young man will be most appreciated.

Thank you for posting this. I have been following Christian for awhile now and got the update email but caringbridge seems to be not working. I had a feeling this is what the post was going to say. Many prayers for Christian's family.

Hi, special k mommy! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I trust you've found your way back into Caring Bridge. I think the site was just overwhelmed with traffic -- I know a steady stream of supporters has been stopping by to read the sad/relieving news and to leave their messages of love and prayer.

Thank you! Yes I finally got in... so much sadness today. *sigh* Yes, Kennedy has been on her own rollercoaster with cancer, but praise God she is in remission and doing well and we pray she will always stay that way! You can follow her journey, if you'd like, at www.carepages.com and the site name is KennedyGarcia. I keep most of her medical stuff there so I can do fun stuff on my blog. I'm somewhat new to blogging too so the comments always make me excited! LOL It's the little things in life! :o) Happy New Year!
